Use this checklist to collect evidence about a website. It does not crawl a site, calculate a score or validate conformance automatically.

Inspect the fundamentals

  1. Can a visitor identify the service and the next step?
  2. Can you complete the important journey with a keyboard?
  3. Does each page have a clear title, heading and canonical URL?
  4. Do important internal links reach the intended page?
  5. Does the form report errors clearly and confirm an accepted submission?
  6. Do images and downloaded content have suitable text alternatives?
  7. Are analytics definitions clear and optional collection controlled?
  8. Does the published output exclude internal files and credentials?

Record what you actually checked

For each finding, record the page, date, browser, steps, observed behavior and responsible owner. Use a scoped diagnostic for a deeper assessment, or download the SEO audit workbook.
